Imagination: More Important Than Knowledge?
(1/1)
Dailymails:
I think imagination is very important for everybody. It helps you create a real network for your thoughts. The ideas you have can lighten your way of acting, your way of living. But I don't think imagination is useful without knowledge. If you don't have information, what would you have ideas for? Where to apply them? Imagination only doesn't help you keep up with the society nowadays. So, I don't agree imagination is more important then knowledge. They are both important. Knowledge is not useful without ideas and ideas are not useful without knowledge.
For example I want to invest my money in a factory. I see it would be a great investment. But, if I don't know how to manage a factory, I will lose all my money. Instead of a high income, I will have to deal with a great loss. That is why I should have qualified employees to manage my business. So, I have the right idea to win more money and they know how to increase my income.
We live in a society that promotes technology above all. What if all the people would have only ideas? This kind of society couldn't exist. If I think better, I could say that knowledge is more important that imagination. I think you can bring up with some ideas from an existing theory or point of view. So, knowledge can develop imagination.
Imagination is formed by ideas and these ideas are the results of an intellectual process. Without knowledge we cannot have a high intellectual degree. We can only have a low intellect.
What do you think? Is Imagination more important than knowledge?
Harkness Richard:
I suppose imagination is equate the importance of knowledge, they just depend on each other.
I believe in intuition and inspiration. Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution. It is, strictly speaking, a real factor in scientific research by Albert Einstein
Do you believe that the true sign of intelligence is not knowledge, but imagination?
