How Should a Marriage Companion be Selected? I think this depends what values you value most. For instance, what I value most is a man who is responsible and honest, so that's where I based my standards on... that's why it's a its important for a person to know what characters and values he or she can and cannot tolerate.

First of all, select a partner that you know that you can trust wholeheartedely and that you would trust your life in his hands, say if you were just in a car accident and could not make medical decisions for yourself, is the partner you are thinking about being with someone you know you can trust with making those types of decisions for you? Do you share common interests, goals, desires, ambitions? Does he make you laugh? Can you be yourself around him? Does he love you unconditionally, and do you also love him the same way? If the answer to all of these isn't "Yes" then you may want to re-consider marrying that person.
